How much water should I add to an Avent bottle warmer?

Published on 30 June 2025

Filling your Philips Avent bottle warmer to the correct level ensures that your milk or formula reaches the proper temperature efficiently.

Please refer to the guidelines below to learn more about using your bottle warmer.

Tip: for all Philips Avent bottle warmer models, use fresh, room-temperature water to fill the warmer.

For 125ml/4oz bottles, fill the warmer with water to just above the level of the milk in the bottle. For a 260ml/9oz bottle, fill the warmer to 15 mm (0.5in) below the rim of the warmer. Never allow the water level to rise above the neck of the bottle or spill over the edge of the warmer.
